Welcome back to the real world...
I have been home for a week now, and all I can think about is being back on vacation. Everything was so carefree while I was gone and even the little things in life brightened my day especially being 5,000 miles away from home. Then I come home and working my butt off. Having no control over situations that diminish right before your eyes. I guess that's why they call this life. At our age we ask does it get any easier? Can you only work one job and be stable for a long time? Will prince charming come sooner than later? I have all these questions I want answered now! Life is just easier when you are on vacation and not in the real world...

Reflection
This trip has been a once in a lifetime experience! We have seen over 8 castles/churches while we have been in London! It has been a trip that I will never forget. I have made some great friends, and we have become so close! The funny thing is none of us really knew who each other were until we got to London. So, it made this trip even more interesting! We have learned so much about the Tudor era and King Henry VIII! I feel like I have learned more history in one week then I have in a year or two! We leave in the morning and it is a bitter sweet leaving! I love this country, but I miss my friends and family and FOOD!!!! I could spill my guts for days and days about how this trip has been, but I'm not going to talk about it. We have done so much and it has been so exhausting, but i would not trade it for the world!!! Pray we have a safe trip in the morning! :) and it's back to the states...blah....

Today is the day!
Today is the day I hop on a jet plane and have the time of my life in London, England! We have so much stuff planned already for the trip! We will arrive in England on Sunday! We have tours set up to tour several castles. I am going to see Phantom of the Opera and Cinderella Ballet while I am there and I am so excited. Still have a little bit more to pack but I have the rest of the day. You can definitely say I am a procrastinator. Please pray we have a safe flight and trip! :)

The Lenten Season...
So, as most of us know Mardi Gras came to an end, and Ash Wednesday was this past Wednesday. I hope yall had a great holiday and enjoyed time with your families. :) Ash Wednesday is a big part of my religion it is the beginning of the Lenten Season. As Catholics we either give something up that we really enjoy or we do something to better ourselves. Just making a sacrifice and showing God that we can control ourselves is such a wonderful feeling. Well, I gave up caffeine, but only in sodas not chocolate...lol. This is going to be a long 40 days, but I know I can do it. As I have mentioned before, I believe, I am the middle school youth leader at my church, and today we had a youth rally at LSUS. It was amazing and we had an awesome speaker who played in a christian band it was just absolutely amazing, I hope my kids received as much as I did from today. Needless, to say today has been a long day had to be there from 8-5 then work from 5-10 I'm exhausted. Hope everyone has a great week! Until next time... :)

Kids say the best things..
Like I have mentioned before that I am a nanny for a family here in town. Well, on Thursday the little girl made me a "How to meet a guy" guide. I watch the kids 3 days a week and pick them up from school whenever the parents ask me too. We get home from school on Thursday and the little girl said, "Ms. Krysta I am going to make you a guide." I said for what and she said how to meet a guy and to keep him. Well, her note starts off with: meet, flirt, date, fall in love, many more dates, man proposes, engagement party, wedding, reception, and hopefully you do not get divorced. I honestly thought this was the most precious thing I have read in so long. Kids are so smart and think so great I just thought this was something funny to share with yall.

Adding a few more hours to our days...
Do you ever wish there was more time in the day? I wish this almost everyday. I work countless number of jobs and go to school 15 hours, 9 of which are online. Sometimes I wish I could pause time and catch up with life. That is exactly what I am doing on a Friday night (what a loser I am). I should not be complaining though because I have done it to myself. Have to work to afford rent, have to go to school to get an education. Sometimes it just sucks at 21 paying for everything that you have that it would be nice to get a little help some of the time. Having one months rent could take about one hundred pounds off my shoulders. But I guess that is just life!
It is know the weekend and I get to sleep in tomorrow and go to Mardi Gras. At least that will be fun. One of the many perks of living in Louisiana. :) Hope everyone has a safe a happy weekend...

*Never make someone your priority if they allow you to be their option.*
Do you ever wonder why people allow themselves to be a priority for a significant other, job, etc?? This is one of my most favorite quotes out there because every word is so true about it. This should be a quote that we as people live by. I know several people, including myself that will allow myself be in option for someone, but I look at them as a priority. Is this always bad? No, but people can seriously take advantage of you for doing this. We should not always give in to people on what they say or do. This is something that just has been on my mind lately and I figured I should say what I have to say about it and this is the perfect place to say it! :)

Energy is the key to happiness!
Well, this past week is over and done with! I was a substitute teacher for the first time Monday morning. It made me realize that I cannot wait to become a teacher. It is definitely a lot easier then I imagined, but I was only a sub. I have had a lot on my plate this past week. Working a total of 5 different jobs and being the youth leader at my church I was pretty busy. You can add school into that equation as well. This past Saturday I and the youth group hosted a Valentine's dance for the parishioners of our church parish. It was honestly one of the most stressful things I have ever been in charge of. I just wanted everything to be perfect, the kids to be on their best behaviors, and wanted everyone happy and to have a good time. I know it does not sound as stressful as I am making it out to be, but I promise I was a wreck and overwhelmed to the max. It all went well and I am very glad that it is over and done with. Had a great weekend and ready to conquer this upcoming week....

A New House, A New Year
This past week I moved into a new house. I am super excited I live with two very great girls and we are all very excited to begin this new chapter living together...hope we don't kill each other. Other, than being a busy bee I am busy putting our house together, school, work, and work again (if you did not know I have about three jobs and go to school). My friends think I am super women or something. I am always on the go. But it is ok I enjoy working hard and being an independent young women. Well, Thursday comes along I am sitting at work and we get news that schools are closed for the arklatex because of the snow heading our way. Well, one of my jobs is being a nanny I live in Bossier and the family I work for lives in Shreveport. Automatically when I woke up on Friday morning I was kind of freaking out because I have never driven in any kind of weather like this, and did not know if I was going to make it to Shreveport luckily they text messaged me and said they did not want me to drive and just to stay home. So, it was a great start to my Friday morning. Got to lounge around the house all day we made hot chocolate, queso, quesidilias, and watched movies. This weekend the family that I work for, were on call so I had to be over there at around 8 am this morning. The snow was starting to melt from last night and had frozen over the night and into the morning. My driveway was a solid sheet of ice. When I got onto the roads they were fine until I hit Shreveport they were still ok. Until, I go a back way to take my roommate to her car and I hit a patch of ice. It all happened in slow motion, but I was sliding all over the road hit a mailbox before coming to rest about two feet away from hitting a tree. Do not worry we were fine and very lucky. I call my dad and he comes to the rescue. My roommate, step mom and dad lift my car up while I put it in reverse and they get me unstuck. Then all of a sudden we see another car coming over the hill losing control heading straight towards my car. My dad runs glides to stop the other car from hitting mine. What a hero I have for a dad. Needless to say it was a great start to my Saturday morning......NOT! Thank goodness for daddy's!! :)
